Indeed, if there are no difficulties and frustrations along the way, then what is there to celebrate success?

Looking back at my country's machine tool industry, from scratch, from poverty to independent innovation, the road is also full of thorns and frustrations.

Although we are still not a machine tool power until today, we have been working hard on the road to a machine tool power.

Any road to the light is not straight, and so is the machine tool industry.

Machine tools, also known as the mother of industry, are machines that make machines. The upstream of the machine tool industry includes the steel and foundry industries, while the downstream affects the automobile, railway, wind power, nuclear power, shipbuilding, air transportation and the military industry related to national defense. It deeply affects all industries in our country and also affects every corner of our life.

If the manufacturing industry is the foundation and lifeblood of the country, the machine tool is the top priority of the manufacturing industry. Without machine tools, there would be no high-speed rail with electricity to control the wind; without machine tools, there would be no fighter planes with eagle strikes in the sky; without machine tools, there would be no aircraft carriers for ocean travel.

But all along, China's machine tool industry is walking a very difficult road.

China's industry started late, backward technology, and almost under the condition of a poor start, machine tools are among them.

At that time, New China had just been established, and the country attached great importance to machine tool technology, but at that time China had no experience and technology, and no one knew how to make machine tools. Under such circumstances, Tsinghua University and Beiyi Machine Tool Factory cooperated to overcome various problems and built China's first CNC machine tool in 1958, the same year as Japan's first CNC machine tool.

In the 1960 s, foreign developed countries imposed a technical blockade on China, and the Soviet Union also stopped its assistance to China. The machine tool industry had almost no way to communicate with the outside world. Relying on self-reliance, my country's machine tool industry developed 18 backbone enterprises. Later, the eighteen arhats in the machine tool industry.

These 18 enterprises silently supported the development of the entire equipment manufacturing industry and even industry in our country at that time. By the end of 1965, the eighteen arhats had accumulated 26 varieties of high-precision precision machine tools.

After the reform and opening up, advanced technology and machine tools into China, by the impact of foreign technology, the original backward machine tool technology has been unable to meet the production needs. Due to various problems such as excessive personnel, complex institutions, brain drain, and incorrect production and marketing, 18 companies have experienced bankruptcy, mergers, and reorganizations, and some of them have launched the stage of history. Foreign-funded enterprises set up factories in China, and private machine tool enterprises have officially entered the market.

Taking advantage of the east wind of reform and opening up, foreign-funded enterprises can be said to have made a lot of money in China. The reason is that there are few domestic machine tools that can compete with them in technology. On the other hand, the development of labor-intensive industries has increased the demand for machine tool equipment. Interest trends have led to the influx of these foreign companies into China, such as Japan's FANUC, MAZAK, Germany's DMG, Hammer, the United States Haas and other well-known international machine tool companies to enter the Chinese market.

Although these foreign companies have entered China, the core technology of foreign companies has been restricted from entering China. For the high-end machine tools sold to China, Chinese enterprises only have the right to use them, and are not allowed to disassemble and study them. Even the moving position of the machine tools must be reported to foreign enterprises. What's more, the top machine tools are not sold to China at all.

Therefore, although China's machine tool enterprises have been developing rapidly in recent years, the core technology is still subject to people.

For example, the controller, the controller is the core of the CNC machine tool, which is equivalent to the CPU of the computer, and is the key technology for manufacturing the CNC machine tool. According to statistics, at present, the products of the controller giants led by Japan's FANUC and Germany's SIEMENS monopolize more than 80% of the market. High-end products not only monopolize, but also restrict Chinese imports. The Japanese claim that without Japanese machine tools, China's auto industry would be unable to move an inch. Although these words are arrogant, they also show China's lack of core technology.

However, due to the gap in basic material science, technology and design, most of the main functional components of domestic machine tools, such as screw, guide rail, servo motor, torque motor, electric spindle and encoder, mainly rely on foreign products. Screw, for example, although China is the world's largest steel producer, but the gap in basic materials science, the domestic production of excellent screw steel is difficult.

For high-end machine tool manufacturing technology, there is a gap of 15 to 20 years between us and Germany and Japan. Gan Ling, the relevant person in charge of Sichuan Pushiningjiang Machine Tool Co., Ltd., once said in an interview with "People's Daily" that compared with foreign equipment, domestic machine tools have obvious gaps in stability, reliability, and efficiency. Foreign machine tools can not stop for 24 hours, but domestic equipment can not. Foreign machine tools can process one part in one second, while domestic equipment may take 1.5 seconds. Although domestic enterprises have also begun to integrate high-end machine tools in recent years, core technologies such as CNC systems are mainly in the hands of a few companies such as Germany and Japan.

Of course, we don't have to belittle ourselves. China has many excellent machine tool enterprises are still in constant efforts.

Such as Beijing carved. The leading manufacturer of high-speed engraving and milling machines in China has strong technical strength. It manufactures its own motorized spindles and carved software. Major well-known mobile phone manufacturers, including Apple, are using Beijing carved machines. At present, Beijing Jingdiao has the comprehensive ability to independently develop and manufacture CNC engraving machines, CAD/CAM software, CNC systems and high-speed motorized spindles, with an annual output of 10000 Jingdiao CNC engraving machines, integrating R & D, production, sales and after-sales.

Another example is Jinan No.2 Machine Tool, as the former 18 Arhats, after facing the changes in the machine tool industry, it is determined to innovate, constantly break through innovation, and replace exports with domestic products. Now it has become one of the world's three largest stamping equipment manufacturers, with orders for 7 consecutive years. The world's first. It is worth mentioning that it is still a wholly state-owned enterprise so far.

You know, in today's society, compared with popular industries such as finance, real estate, and the Internet, manufacturing is an unpopular industry, and machine tools are even more unpopular. But even so, there are still a large number of people who stick to the machine tool industry and insist on making their own contributions to China's machine tool industry. Although our machine tool technology is far inferior to that of industrial powers, shouldn't this courageous spirit deserve our respect and applause?

Please go elsewhere for promotion and wealth, and do not enter the door for greed and idleness. This is the true portrayal of the machine tool industry. But I believe that any path to the light is not straight. When we are disappointed in the backwardness of domestic machine tools, please don't forget that our machine tool industry is still moving forward in the twists and turns.
